Some 16 Malaysian media representatives are also participating in the
media hunt to forge a closer relationship with their counterparts from the
visiting international media.The inaugural Malaysia International Media Hunt 2006 was flagged off
by the Hon. Minister of Tourism, YBM Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku
Mansor, in the Boulevard of Putrajaya at 8.30 am on 6 March 2006.

This international media hunt from 5 to 11 March 2006 is a motoring
journey through five states in Peninsular Malaysia, starting from Putrajaya to
Selangor, Perak, Kedah and Penang.

A total of 117 foreign participants comprising media members from 30
countries are taking part in this media hunt. The participants are from
Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, China, Taiwan,
Korea, Japan, India, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, UAE, Australia, South Africa,
United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Sweden, Denmark, Russia, Italy,
Turkey, France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland and Netherlands.

Some 16 Malaysian media representatives are also participating in the

The Ministry, together with Tourism Malaysia, hosted a welcome dinner
for all the media hunt participants and sponsors on 5 March 2006 at Crown
Plaza Mutiara Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

The event is fully supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Tourism
Malaysia.
