This media fam trip consists of 8 media from Bangkok and Southern Thailand focused on promoting Pengkalan Chepa Airport, Kota Bharu as a gateway to Malaysia Borneo. This trip was partly sponsored by AirAsia, Sarawak Tourism Board, and Sarawak Cultural Village. The media has the pleasure of meeting the famous orang utan in Semenggoh Nature Reserve, dancing with the Sarawak tribal dance group at Sarawak Cultural Village, and having a taste of Sarawak’s number one dish – Sarawak Laksa. Overall the trip was a success in promoting Sarawak with multiple write-ups, travel videos, and social media posts from the participants which should translate to more people from Thailand visiting Sarawak.
