TOURISM MALAYSIA RETURNS TO FERIE FOR ALLE 2022

HERNING, 25 FEBRUARY 2022 – Say ‘hej!’ to Tourism Malaysia as it returns to FERIE FOR ALLE 2022, in Herning, Denmark, with a strong message to promote Malaysia as a safe holiday destination as travel restrictions are gradually eased since they were first enforced for almost two years worldwide.

On 25 to 27 February 2022, FERIE FOR ALLE 2022 will welcome its attendees physically again in MCH Herning, after the fair had to be postponed in 2021 due to prevailing restrictions. Tourism Malaysia is co-exhibiting with STJERNEGAARD REJSER and provides attractive Malaysian packages in Malaysia for individual and group departures alike.

This year’s participation aims to provide tourism industry players from around the world to get the latest information on travelling to Malaysia, especially after the reopening of Langkawi Island as Malaysia’s first international travel bubble (LTB) on 15 November 2021 and the subsequent opening of its borders with Singapore through the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) starting 29 November 2021. Tourism Malaysia believes that FERIE FOR ALLE serves as an important platform to introduce Malaysia’s new and upcoming tourist attractions that meet the needs of the Nordic markets.

Commenting on the participation, the Malaysian Ambassador to Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Iceland, Her Excellency Ms Nur Ashikin Mohd Taib said; “Malaysia’s participation in FERIE FOR ALLE 2022 demonstrates its effort to increase visibility and awareness as well as reposition Malaysia as the preferred destination for Nordic travellers. With Malaysia's successful COVID-19 vaccination programme and the updated standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the tourism sector, the country is now gearing up in welcoming tourists once again. When Malaysia reopens its borders, travellers are assured that the new norms for the hospitality industry are in place to comply with relevant SOPs for COVID-19 in ensuring the safety and well-being of the people and visitors alike. We hope to welcome Nordic travellers to Malaysia soon.”

Dato’ Zainuddin Abdul Wahab, the Director General of Tourism Malaysia is also optimistic about this year’s participation, “FERIE FOR ALLE continues to be an important platform for us to promote Malaysia’s extensive tourism offering and to introduce new and upcoming tourist attractions that we believe appeal to the Nordic market. In addition, we are proud to announce that we have achieved more than 98% of fully vaccinated adults nationwide, making Malaysia one of the countries with the highest vaccination rates in the world.”

Tourism Malaysia will be at stand G5762. For more information on Ferie for Alle 2022, visit its official website here.
