ROYALE CHULAN KUALA LUMPUR TO BENEFIT MICE INDUSTRY

Five-star hotel Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur is set to open in February 2009, contributing not only to Malaysia’s range of quality hotels but also to the growing meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE) industry.

MICE business will be an integral component of the hospitality offered at the Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur.  Its MICE facilities, which include ten meeting rooms, the pillarless and high-ceilinged Taman Sari Ballroom, and a courtyard conservatory, can accommodate up to 2,000 people for various functions.

Other conveniences include separate vehicular access to the Taman Sari Ballroom and two secure VIP holding rooms, a business centre, broadband internet in all guest rooms and wi-fi connectivity in all public areas.

The hotel’s design reflects Malaysian heritage architecture and rooms offer views of the PETRONAS Twin Towers. It has 304 deluxe hotel rooms and suites and 100 serviced apartments or studios for longer staying guests.

The hotel offers several dining choices at its restaurants: Bungah Emas (fine dining Malay cuisine with evening cultural performances), L’Heritage (traditional French cuisine in intimate surroundings), Warisan Café (an open kitchen and buffet dining that highlights the flavours of the world), Deli Café, Lanai Lobby Lounge, The Heritage (a lively cocktail and cigar bar with live music), and the Chulan View Bar on the 13th floor.

Nearby attractions are KLCC (including Petronas Twin Towers); the Convention Centre; Aquaria KLCC; Starhill Gallery, the Pavilion and Lot 10 shopping centres; Badan Warisan (Malaysia’s National Trust) and Kompleks Kraf (Craft Complex).
