PATA TRAVEL MART 2018 MALAYSIA: EIGHT MONTHS TO GO

PUTRAJAYA, 11 January 2018 – The curtains have just been raised to welcome the new year of 2018. For Malaysia, this means that the upcoming PATA Travel Mart 2018 in Langkawi island will take place in just another eight months.

The event, to be held from 12 to 14 September at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre (MIEC), is expected to welcome hundreds of travel and tourism industry players from around the world to the exotic “island of legends” for an exhibition, forums, workshops/seminars, business meetings and networking sessions. There will also be a special Digital Hub exhibition, a platform dedicated to innovative technology impacting the travel and tourism business.

PATA Travel Mart is Asia-Pacific’s worldwide travel trade exhibition featuring unparalleled networking and contracting opportunities to help travel and tourism organisations access decision makers, meet new clients, expand their networks, establish new relationships and consolidate existing business partnerships.

Hosted by Malaysia this year, PATA Travel Mart is set at the beautiful island of Langkawi – a tropical paradise known for its unsurpassed natural beauty, friendly people, excellent food, duty-free shopping and luxurious hotels and resorts.

A cluster of 99 islands, Langkawi boasts emerald waters, stretches of white sandy beaches and natural attractions. It is famed as one of the region’s best holiday destinations, offering superb beach resorts, an international airport, picturesque golf courses and well-equipped marinas.

The Langkawi Global Geopark won the 2017 PATA Gold Award for Heritage and Culture at last year’s PATA Travel Mart held in Macao, highlighting the island’s efforts for sustainable development.

PATA Travel Mart 2018 registration is still open with early bird discounts until end of March (only for Malaysian sellers). Individuals or corporations are invited to take part either as local or international seller, international buyer, local/international media, or as local/international trade visitor. Those interested to register as event sponsors are also welcomed.
