The "Make It Malaysia" programme in Langkawi, Kedah, on 25 th
November 2005 is another effort to promote Malaysia, and Langkawi
especially, as a topofmind
destination for vacations.

Held for the first time, it provides a unique platform for the travel
industry frontliners to get to know Malaysia, and Langkawi in particular, better.
A total of 163 representatives comprising members of the media, tour
consultancies and corporate guests from Germany, Netherlands, Austria,
Eastern Europe, France, Croatia, Turkey, Italy, Bosnia Herzegovina, Serbia
and Spain are taking part in this programme.

industry relationships between the travel trade partners. Media attendees and

experience about tourism products
and updated information on holiday destinations to enable them to market
Malaysia more convincingly.

During the Travel Mart session on 25 th November 2005, buyers and
sellers will discuss and exchange views and new ideas to create more
exciting packages for tourists. Pretour
activities are also being arranged for
all the participants.

Apart from Tourism Malaysia, representatives from the Langkawi
Development Authority (LADA), Malaysia Airlines (MAS) and Malaysian
Association of Tour & Travel Agents (MATTA) will also conduct industry
presentations during the seminar and workshop sessions in five different
languages viz English, French, German, Italian and Spanish, to give
