The highlight of Flora Fest 2007, the Floral Parade, takes place on 27 January 2007 at Persiaran Perdana, Putrajaya. The colourful parade at 8 am will be officiated by His Majesty Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Ibni Almahrum Sultan Mahmud AlMuhtafi Billah Shah. The event will be attended by cabinet ministers, foreign dignitaries, invited guests and members of the public.

At the parade, 18 floral decorated floats from state governments, local authorities and private organisations will compete for awards in five categories - Premier Trophy, Theme Trophy, Creative Trophy, Parade Trophy and Jury Award. Imaginative creations such as "Wings of Dreams" (Penang) and "Sarawak Rhapsody" (Sarawak) will bring to life the Flora Fest's theme of "Colours of Harmony".

To add excitement to the event, the parade will be interspersed with marching bands and street performers. A total of 19 bands including 15 school bands will entertain the audience in between the floats. A special prize will be awarded to the best school band performance.

After the parade, visitors can view the floats at an airconditioned tent from 27 to 29 January. Tickets to the static display are RM2 for adults and RM1 for children. The static display is open from 12 noon to 10 pm on 27 January and from 10 am to 10 pm on 28 and 29 January. Apart from viewing the floats, visitors may also buy flowers and other agricultural products at the Floral Bazaar located also in the airconditioned tent.

Ample parking space is available for those driving to Putrajaya on 27 January. Those who opt for public transportation can hop on one of the shuttle buses from Putrajaya bus terminal. Meanwhile, people from Klang Valley can take the KLIA Transit from KL Sentral or Bandar Tasik Selatan to Putrajaya at a special fare of RM12 (adults) and RM6 (children) for a return trip.
