Henan (CHINA) -- Dato’ Sri Dr Ng Yen Yen was the only Overseas Guest invited to speak at the launching of the TV series “HAKKA” produced by the Henan Provincial People’s Government on Tuesday at the Henan Convention Centre. The other speakers included Member of the National Committee of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Mr Dong ZhongYuan, Standing Committee Member of the National People’s Congress of China, Dr Tsang Hin Chi and CEO of CCTV.

Dr Ng, being Tourism Minister stole the audience attention by not only  congratulating Henan Provincial Government with a population of 100 million for the visionary effort put in to produce the historical TV series “ HAKKA” but went on to “HARDSELL” Malaysia’s Tourism Industry, receiving resounding applause from the audience. Her promotion is broadcasted throughout China through CCTV.

Dr Ng told the audience that Malaysia’s global tourism brand “Malaysia, truly Asia” focuses on the rich cultural diversities of Malaysia’s 27 million people, including the Hakkas. The Hakkas in Malaysia have not only retained their Hakka tradition in food etc, but have also excelled in nation building through their hardwork and determination. Today there are many successful Hakkas in Malaysia, including very successful entrepreneurs.  Ng proceeded to promote Malaysia as a Food Paradise, a Nature’s Paradise. Malaysia is richly endowed with the World’s Oldest Rainforest, Pristine Marine Parks and Thousands of Islands. Shopping is also a must for all tourists.

She welcomed all Hakkas throughout the World to visit Beautiful Malaysia, to know Malaysia is to love Malaysia.
