TOURISM MALAYSIA PARTNERS WITH CHINA SOUTHERN AIRLINES FOR MONTH-LONG CAMPAIGN

GUANGZHOU, 1 May 2022 – In conjunction with China’s Labour Day, Tourism Malaysia Guangzhou Office is partnering with China Southern Airlines for in-flight promotion campaign from 1st to 31st May 2022, with the theme ‘Tourism Malaysia Labour Day Festival: Blessing in the Air.’

The month-long campaign comes after the announcement of Malaysia’s border reopening beginning 1st April that allows quarantine-free entry for fully-vaccinated travellers, ending almost two years of stringent border controls introduced to contain the COVID-19 outbreak. As a long-term airline partner with China Southern Airlines, Tourism Malaysia is thrilled to welcome back Chinese tourists and have them explore the country once they are allowed to travel internationally.

The advertising campaign will involve the airline’s ARJ21 aircrafts, covering domestic destinations such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Huizhou, Zhuhai, Jieyang, Xiamen, Zhanjiang and others. In addition, the campaign is publicised through articles on Malaysia’s destinations and amplified through Tourism Malaysia Guangzhou’s social media platform, where passengers can easily follow in-flight using QR codes.

To encourage consumers to participate in this campaign, China Southern Airlines will also be giving away Malaysian-themed souvenirs to passengers and lucky readers. To learn more about Malaysia’s destinations and products, visit Tourism Malaysia Guangzhou’s TikTok, WeChat, and Weibo.
