PUTRAJAYA, 13 OCTOBER 2016 – Lexis Hotel Group, an emerging brand in hospitality industry took part in the Tourism Malaysia Networking Day (TMND) for the second time since 2013 to further promote its brand and share their success stories today.

The event, attended by representatives from the Ministry of Tourism and Culture and Tourism Malaysia, received great response as many exciting activities such as lucky draws, special offers and spa experience were carried out by the Lexis Hotel Group during the half day session.

“Lexis Hotel Group has been incredibly successful in Port Dickson having established Lexis Port Dickson and Grand Lexis Port Dickson. The opening of Lexis Suites Penang and the upcoming Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur will add further value to these two major tourist destinations,” said Director General of Tourism Malaysia Datuk Seri Mirza Mohammad Taiyab in his welcoming speech.

He added, “Tourism Malaysia has many promotional programmes to implement in our bid to promote the destination and we look to partnerships with the private sector to ensure that these programmes are carried through successfully. As such, I look forward to more opportunities to work together with Lexis Hotel Group in future.”

The Lexis Hotel Group’s participation in TMND was led by Mr. Steve Woon, the Senior Vice President of Sales and marketing.

TMND is an initiative by Tourism Malaysia to provide a platform for tourism industry players to meet and network with Ministry of Tourism and Culture and Tourism Malaysia staff. It is an opportunity for hoteliers, tour operators, tourism products operators, destination management companies and airlines services to give updates on their latest development, news and products.

This is the second edition of TMND for 2016. The first edition of TMND featured LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort, which was held on 2 June 2016. Two more TMND sessions will be scheduled before the end of the year.
