TOURISM MALAYSIA JOINS VIRTUAL PATA TRAVEL MART 2021 IN THE NEW NORM

PUTRAJAYA, 2 September 2021 – The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia through its agency Tourism Malaysia is participating in the virtual PATA Travel Mart (PTM) 2021 held in conjunction with Sichuan International Travel Expo 2021. The annual travel and trade event takes place online from 2nd to 5th September 2021.

Virtual PTM 2021 is a one-stop service centre for the industry players to market to international travel trade professionals, contract valuable new business, and consolidate existing business relationships. It is one of the longest-running travel trade shows in the Asia Pacific that has been enhancing the value, quality, and sustainable growth of travel and tourism to, from and within the Asia Pacific region.

Tourism Malaysia is joined by 14 Malaysian PATA Malaysia Chapter’s (PMC) members*. Participants will be able to access the user-friendly exhibitor space, video/audio calls, visible branding, industry experts’ forums, and product highlights promotion. The platform is also aimed to provide fruitful business-to-business (B2B) and networking sessions between participants.

Following the National Tourism Policy 2020-2030 and the United Nations Sustainability Development Goals, Tourism Malaysia together with the industry players are working towards promoting Malaysia Truly Asia branding by highlighting the country’s rich natural resources through not only ecotourism, but also experiential tourism, as well as niche tourism products.
