The seminar aims to foster greater cooperation between the related government agencies and tourism industry members to ensure the success of the ‘Cuti-cuti 1 Malaysia’ campaign, to promote domestic tourism as well as to feature the eco-tourism products that Perlis has to offer.

Forty travel agents from Perlis, Kedah, Pulau Pinang and Kuala Lumpur will extend their stay until 23 December to visit some of Perlis’s chief tourist sites, namely Muzium Kota Mayang, Taman Rimba Herba, Gua Wang Burma and Padang Besar.

Perlis has a variety of eco-tourism attractions such as the oldest and longest limestone range in Malaysia, the five hundred year old Banjaran Nakawan which stretches an impressive 38 kilometres, an exotic collection of flora and fauna such as the ancient Bogak plant (Cycas clivicola) as well as the attractive Wang Burma Cave.
