PUTRAJAYA INTERNATIONAL FIREWORKS COMPETITION 2013

PUTRAJAYA, 23 AUGUST 2013 – The new and improved Putrajaya International Fireworks Competition 2013 is back again, and it promises to be an even more exciting and enchanting event for photography and fireworks enthusiasts alike!

This year, each country will display a combination of their fireworks lasting 25 minutes, accompanied with a music selection of the participating country’s choice. The fireworks are designed to reflect each country’s culture, and will be choreographed by an experienced fireworks choreographer.

Organised by Putrajaya Corporation, and sponsored by Duago Corporation Sdn. Bhd, the event will be held at the Putrajaya Maritime Centre at Precinct 5 Putrajaya on different days; 30 and 31 August, 13, 14 and 15 September, and 2 October 2013. The Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato’ Sri Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak himself is scheduled to launch the event on 30 August.

A total of six countries; China, France, Korea, United Arab Emirates (UAE), United States of America, and Malaysia, will battle it out over this six day competition.

For enthusiasts wanting to get a closer look at the fireworks display, they may opt to get the Lake Cruise package which allows them a scenic front seat view from the boats on the lake, which is also the launch site for the fireworks,  or from on top of the hill at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre.

Other than the fireworks display, there will be other side events at the competition, such as the mini concerts (Korea Beat, China Concert, and the DJ Competition 2013), bazaars, carnivals, as well as the street food area.

For the convenience of visitors, car parks are available close to the competition site, as well as a shuttle bus service which will transport visitors from the car park to the competition site. Alternatively, visitors may ride the ERL to Putrajaya Sentral station, and subsequently take the shuttle bus to the competition site.
