MALAYSIA HOSTS 100 CHINESE MEDIA
A total of one hundred media from various parts of China will get a firsthand experience of ecotourism
in Taman Negara, Malaysia's oldest National Park this week as part of Tourism Malaysia's efforts to increase awareness and create a positive outlook for Malaysia in the China market. The media are from Xian, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Kunming, Xiamen, Chengdu and Hong Kong and are invited to Malaysia as guests of the Ministry of Tourism and Tourism Malaysia.
Among the activities lined up for them include an immersion workshop in Taman Negara with the Director General of Tourism Malaysia, Dato' Kamaruddin Siaraf. They will be staying at Mutiara
Taman Negara Resort and try out the jungle night walk. There would also be briefings by the tourism police, Pahang Tourism Action Council, Malaysia Airlines and Tourism Malaysia.
The group will also have a chance to visit Sabah, Sarawak, Langkawi, Genting Highlands, Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Melaka and Pulau Pangkor. They will be in Malaysia for one to two weeks.
