KUWAIT AIRWAYS FLIES INTO KUALA LUMPUR
Malaysia welcomes the inaugural flight of Kuwait Airways to
Kuala Lumpur on 1 November 2006
Flight KU413 from Kuwait with 250 passengers is scheduled to
arrive at Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 3.00pm. On board is a
20member
delegation leaded by the Chairman and Managing
Director of Kuwait Airways, Sheikh Talal Mubarak Abdullah Al Ahmad
AlSabah,
together with members of the media, travel agents and
officials from Kuwait.
The welcome reception party includes the Hon. Dato' Sri Chan
Kong Choy, Minister of Transport; YBhg. Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Aris
Othman, Chairman of Malaysia Airport Berhad; and YBrs. Encik
Razali Hj Mohd Daud, Deputy Director General of Tourism Malaysia.
The arriving passengers on flight KU413 will be greeted and
presented with souvenirs as they get off the plane.
Kuwait Airways has introduced its twice weekly flights (every
Tuesday and Friday) to Kuala Lumpur via Bangkok by A340 aircraft
with a capacity of 272 passengers due to market demand.
Over the past five years, tourist arrivals from Kuwait have been
increasing from 7,428 in 2001 to 11,506 in 2005. Looking at the
upbeat trend of the tourism industry, Malaysia expects to receive
more tourist arrivals from Kuwait by the end of this year.
