DURIAN PACKAGES “BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND” EAT AS MUCH DURIAN AS YOU CAN


TANJUNG BUNGAH, PENANG, 2 MAY 2019: Tourism Malaysia has launched a special durian campaign to celebrate and promote the durian season in Penang.

The campaign, Durian Packages “Back by Popular Demand” – Eat As Much Durian As You Can @ 8321 Plantation, Balik Pulau, will run from 6 May to 6 August. It sees Tourism Malaysia working in collaboration with Asia Gateaway Tours, and supported by Air Asia Berhad and selected hotels.

The Hon. Mr. Muhammad Bakthiar bin Wan Chik, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, launched the campaign at Gaya Beach Restaurant, Rainbow Paradise Beach Resort. He was accompanied by Senior Director (Domestic and Events) of Tourism Malaysia, Dato’ Dr. Ammar Abd Ghapar.

Tourism Malaysia has also been working with Asia Gateaway Tours to develop other durian packages, namely the Durian Buffet from RM66 for Adult and RM36 for Children; the 2D/1N Durian Package from RM186/pax; the 3D/2N Durian Package from RM366/pax with minimum 4 pax for each package.

As an added bonus, package buyers stand a chance to win return flight tickets for the following sectors: Penang-Kota Kinabalu, Penang-Johor Bahru and Penang-Melaka. In addition, package buyers will get a further 10% discount on any Durian Packages by presenting their Air Asia boarding pass during the promotion date.
