ASIAN MEDIA SUMMIT 2006
The Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) in cooperation with its partners and international organisations is organising the Asian Media Summit (AMS) 2006 for the third consecutive year in Malaysia from 29 until 31 May at Nikko Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
The two-day conference will provide a unique opportunity for broadcasters in the region to share their thoughts and exchange ideas on broadcasting and information.
Some 400 decision makers, media professionals, scholars and stakeholders of news and programming from Asia, Pacific, Africa, Europe, Middle East and North America are attending this annual conference. It has received full support from almost all the regional and international broadcasting unions and associations.
Among the list of sponsors are Tourism Malaysia, Friederich Ebert Foundation (FES), Malaysia Airlines, Radio Television Malaysia (RTM), France, the United Nations, UNDP, UNESCO, ITU, UN-ESCAP, UNICEF and other partners.
The AMS will be conducted in three languages viz English, French and Arabic to ensure a more meaningful communication and dialogue among key stakeholders of the broadcast industry. The conference can be viewed from all around the world through a live webcast.
