Tourism Malaysia in collaboration with Club Med, China Airlines and Taiwan's travel agencies, is promoting Cherating, Kuantan, as a favourite summer holiday destination for Taiwanese tourists.

A five-day four-night package to Club Med Cherating at only RM3,558.20 (NTD33,800) is being promoted from June to September.

As a partner in this promotion, China Airlines will provide 23 charter flights direct from Taipei to Kuantan beginning 16 June until 12 September 2008. The first three charter flights which already arrived in Kuantan on 16^th, 20^th and 24 June 2008 carried a total of 460 Taiwanese tourists.

Last year, 201,311 Taiwanese tourists visited Malaysia. For the first five months of this year, arrivals from Taiwan numbered 78,228 tourists, an increase of 2.1% compared to 76,649 tourists for the same period of 2007.
