About Diving

Malaysia is among the leading dive destinations in the world with one of the richest marine environments in the Indo-Pacific Basin. The incredible bio-diversity of marine life, coupled with warm clear waters, beautiful islands and breathtaking beaches keep divers coming back to Malaysia. Other diving sites in Malaysia include Tioman Island and Aur Island in Johor, Kapas Island and Perhentian Island in Terengganu and Mantanani, Mataking, Mabul and Sipadan in Sabah.

The diving spots are splendid for beginners, and there are many other wonderful dive spots to enjoy after completing the Scuba Diving course. Dive operators in Malaysia offer a full range of diving courses, from Open Water to Instructor Training. The courses are taught by experienced and enthusiastic dive instructors.

Tourism Malaysia work closely with Malaysia Scuba Diving Association (MSDA) to make Malaysia top dive destination in the world. MSDA promotes inbound diving and shape Malaysia’s diving industry future, ensuring compliance of internationally recognized Dive Safety Standards determined by The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Standards of Recreational Diving Services, working with government agencies to make Malaysia a dive destination of choice internationally, informing and educating the public regarding benefits of scuba diving, and the importance of conservation of Malaysia’s marine environment.

Tourism Malaysia offers your marine tourism business visibility and promotional assistance through participation in many events and exhibitions such as ADEX Singapore, ADEX Beijing and Diving Equipment and Marketing Association (DEMA).
