Bike Tourism
“Get on the open road or off and ride on!”
From 2011 to 2014, Tourism Malaysia saw the development of 202 biking packages with 95 local tour agencies. As many as 3547 biking tour packages worth more than RM600,000 was sold throughout the country. In addition, Tourism Malaysia published Discover Malaysia by Bicycle as a welcome complement to the CC1M Bike Ride @ Putrajaya in December 2014.
CC1M Bike Ride © Putrajaya is an annual event organized by Tourism Malaysia together with Perbadanan Putrajaya. This event attracts 2,500 biking enthusiasts from the whole of Malaysia. Divided into various level of intensity from the Family Fun Ride a bike trail of 12km, the Fund Ride Challenge, a 35km trail and the BMX Tourism Sprint an extreme sports category with only 300m range.

Homestay Kampung Tanjung Piai Explorer which explores the southernmost state in Malaysia, Johor.
Classic Cycling Tour where the bike routes meander through the Rice Bowl of Malaysia, in the state of Kedah.
Tuba Bike Ride which showcases the island known as Pulau Tuba, with its hilly terrain covering 20 sq km of fertile lands and unsullied beaches.
Alor Setar Royal Heritage Trail, famous of its historical and heritage sites stretching 16km that begins from Menara Alor Setar.
Merbok Heritage Trail. This biking adventures covers the Bujang Valley, home of the Hindu-Buddhist Kingdom in the Kuala Muda District, north of Peninsula Malaysia.
Sedim Back to Nature Ride, where tourists can stop over at Tree Top Walk, the longest galvanized steel canopy walk.
Kota Bharu Cycling Tour. This ride covers the Istana Negeri, Kelantan’s oldest palace, cruising along rice fields, traditional houses to Wat Dua Naga at Kampung Balai, Bachok, the home of a renown Siamese temple.
Kuala Lumpur by Cycle. Experience the noise and rush of the capital city of Malaysia. From the Perdana Botanical Gardens, to the National Mosque, to KL Railway Station, to the National Bird Park.
Balik Pulau Countryside Bike Ride. This seaside town in Pulau Pinang with 50,000 residents harbours a huge expanse of land holding mangrove forests, rice fields, fruit and vegetable plantations and pristine beaches.
Kota Kinablau Easy Breezy Ride. This bike trail starts at the Pacific Sutera, passing through picturesque country and breathtaking architecture such as Masjid Negeri Sabah, North Borneo Railway Station and ends at Jesselton Point, the departure port to the five-island Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park.
Borneo Highland Cycling. This one-way 40km bicycle ride that ends with a return trip by van was specifically designed for endurance riders along country roads heading towards the entrance of Borneo Highland Resort, a jewel of Sarawak tourism.
